2025 - Spring Orientation
Description
Our comprehensive program is designed to aid you in making a successful transition, both academically and socially, to the College community. During orientation, you will learn how to make the most of your college experience and gain essential skills for success in your academic pathway. Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to interact with your classmates, faculty, and staff, while gaining familiarity with the technology and procedures needed for the first day of classes.
Attendance at this program is mandatory for all students new to Penn Highlands. New students across all Penn Highlands locations are expected to attend this program which is held at our main campus location, our Richland Campus. Transportation will be provided for students who need it with a pick up location at one of the college's locations (i.e. Bellefonte Center, Blair Center, Ebensburg Center, or Somerset Center. Students interested in transportation must indicate that request on their RSVP.
Questions & Answers
Yes, transportation will be provided from our Bellefonte, Blair, Ebensburg, and Somerset Centers. Students will be responsible for arriving at the appropriate center on time.
Yes, all new students to Penn Highlands must attend this program. If you do not attend, you will not be permitted to enroll in additional classes until the program is completed. Questions? Please contact the Director of Activities and Athletics at 814-262-6463.
The spring program begins promptly at 11AM. All students and their guests must be ready to go in the auditorium by this time. Registration will take place before the program begins from 10:30AM - 11:00AM.
The program lasts until 3:00PM. Lunch will be provided at 1PM.
Open time to meet with offices, staff, and the Bookstore is provided from 10AM - 11AM and 3PM - 4PM so students can receive extra attention for their questions and concerns.
